Block Cascade is a block puzzle for people who like thinking a move or two ahead. Pieces arrive three at a
time, and you place them anywhere on the grid. Complete a row or a column and it disappears — simple to
learn, surprisingly hard to keep up once the board gets crowded.

## How to play

Three pieces sit below the board. Drag one onto the grid and release to place it. Rows or columns that fill
completely vanish, and the pieces that remain get slightly more awkward on purpose. The game ends when none
of the three pieces has anywhere left to go.

The board is taller than it is wide, which means it fits a phone screen without shrinking the blocks into
unreadable specks. On a desktop, the same layout sits in the middle of the page with keyboard controls
available if you prefer them.

## Scoring and combos

Every cleared line scores points, but the interesting part is the chain. Clear two lines with a single piece
and the second line is worth double; clear three and the multiplier climbs again. That single rule changes
how you play: instead of always taking the first available clear, you learn to leave a board two moves away
from a big combo — and to recognize when that greed is about to end the run.

There is no timer and no energy system. Play at your own pace; the undo button is there when you misjudge a
placement.

## Music and sound

A gentle, looping tune plays while you think, and every action has its own short sound: picking a piece
up, setting it down, a buzz when it will not fit, and a rising run of notes when lines clear. The more
lines you clear at once, the longer the run. The note and speaker buttons in the top bar switch music and
sound effects on or off separately.

## About this game

Block Cascade was designed touch-first by the Rovixel team. Every interaction — dragging, dropping, undoing —
was tuned on a phone before it was ever tested with a mouse.

## Tips

- Fill rows from the edges inward. Middle gaps are the hardest to fill later.
- Save long pieces for boards that are already half full — they close two rows at once.
- Combos multiply: clearing two lines in one move is worth far more than two separate clears.
- When the board looks lost, look for the tallest column first. That is what ends the run.

## Questions

### Can I undo a bad move?

Yes. Block Cascade includes a single-step undo that recharges after every three successful line clears, so mistakes are rarely fatal.

### Does it work offline?

Once the page has loaded, the game runs entirely in your browser and does not need a connection.

### Is there a time limit?

No. Block Cascade has no timer, which makes it a good fit for a short break or a longer session.

### Can I turn the music or sound off?

Yes. The note button in the top bar switches the music on or off and the speaker button does the same for sound effects. M toggles the music from the keyboard, and your choice is remembered.
