A dinosaur, a desert and a road that never ends. This dinosaur game is about one thing: timing. Cacti roll toward you, birds swoop in at different heights, and every second the whole world gets a little faster. How far you run is your score.
How to play
Press Run, and the dinosaur starts running on its own. Jump with Space, the up arrow or W on a keyboard, or tap the screen on a phone or tablet. A quick press gives a short hop; keep holding and the dinosaur jumps higher and farther. Press down, or drag your finger down, to duck.
Play the dinosaur game unblocked
“Unblocked” here means the game runs in the browser rather than through an app: no download, no app store, no account, and nothing left behind on the machine.
- Instant start. The page loads in a few seconds and the runner is one tap away.
- Nothing to install at school or at work. There is no app to add, and no software to remove afterwards.

If a network blocks game sites, that rule is enforced by the network, and a web page cannot get around it.
What comes at you
- Cacti — single ones at first, then groups of two or three once you pass 100 points. A tall group usually needs a held jump.
- Birds — they start showing up after 250 points and fly at three heights. Jump the low ones, duck under the middle ones, and keep running under the high ones.
The gap between obstacles grows as the speed goes up, so there is always room for a well-timed jump. Every 100 points, the number flashes on screen so you know how far you have come.
Speed, pausing and scoring
Your score counts up with the distance you run. The dinosaur speeds up steadily until it hits its top speed, which is where the best runs are decided. Press P or Esc, or tap the pause button, to take a break. The game also pauses by itself if you switch tabs. After a crash, press Space or tap Run again to go straight into the next run.
Music and sound
A bouncy chiptune soundtrack plays while you run, and it picks up the pace as the dinosaur speeds up. Jumps, every 100-point mark and crashes each have their own sound. Use the note and speaker buttons in the top corner to switch music and sound effects on or off separately.
About this version
The whole game is one small page, so it starts instantly and keeps running even if your connection drops after it loads. It plays best in landscape, but it works in portrait too.
How to get a high score
- Jump late, not early. Most crashes happen on the way down, when an early jump lands right on top of the cactus.
- Use short taps for single cacti and save the long, held jump for the wide groups of two or three.
- Watch the bird's height, not the bird. Low birds need a jump, middle birds need a duck, and high birds can be ignored.
- Pressing down in mid-air pulls the dinosaur back to the ground faster. It is the quickest way to get ready for the next obstacle.
Questions
Is this the Chrome dinosaur game?
No. It is our own dinosaur runner with the same simple idea. It adds held jumps for extra height, birds at three different heights, and it works on phones and tablets as well as on a computer.
Can I play it on a phone?
Yes. Tap to jump, keep your finger down for a higher jump, and drag down to duck. Turning the phone sideways gives you a bigger view of the desert.
Does it get harder?
Yes. The dinosaur runs a little faster every second until it reaches a top speed. Groups of cacti appear after 100 points, and birds join after 250.
Is my best score saved?
Your best score is saved in your browser on this device. Clearing your browser's site data resets it.
Can I turn the music or sound off?
Yes. The note button switches the music on or off and the speaker button does the same for sound effects. M toggles the music from the keyboard, and your choice is remembered.
Is the dinosaur game unblocked?
Yes, in the way the word is normally used - it runs in the browser with no download, no installer and no account. Whether a school or workplace network allows game sites is up to that network, not the page.
Can I play it at school or at work?
Open the page and tap Play. Nothing has to be installed, so there is no software left on the machine afterwards. If the network blocks game sites, though, no web page can get around that rule.
