Monster Truck 2 Players gives both players a truck, a course of ramps and obstacles, and half a keyboard each. It is less about speed than about staying on your wheels: monster trucks are tall, soft-suspended and easy to tip, and the course is built to punish anyone who treats the throttle as a solution.
How to play
Player 1 drives with Z, Q, S and D — the positions that sit where WASD sits on an English keyboard. Player 2 uses the arrow keys. Both trucks share the same course and the same screen, so you can see exactly how the other player is doing and exactly which obstacle is currently beating them.
The physics are the point. Big wheels climb almost anything at low speed and almost nothing at high speed, because a truck that leaves a ramp at full throttle lands on its roof. The skill is throttle discipline: approach slowly, let the suspension work, and only accelerate once all four wheels are back on the ground.
How to get over the course
Three habits matter. Climb slowly rather than fast. Let the truck settle after every landing before touching the throttle, since accelerating on touchdown is what flips most runs. And use reverse properly: when a wheel is spinning against an obstacle, backing up and taking the angle again is faster than fighting it. Driving your own line also helps — following the other truck into the same obstacle usually means making the same mistake at the same moment.
Who it is for
It suits two players who enjoy physics more than racing lines: the fun here is the near-miss and the slow, careful climb rather than a finish line. Sessions are short, both trucks face the same course, and crashes are funny enough to survive a losing streak.
