Red and Blue Stickman Rope

Red and Blue Stickman Rope puts two characters on the same screen and ties them together with a rope. Every jump one player makes tugs the other one slightly, so the game is less about individual skill and more about doing the same thing at the same time. It is a co-op game in the most literal sense: neither stickman can finish the climb alone.

How to play

Player 1 moves with W, A, S and D. Player 2 uses the arrow keys. Both characters can double jump, and there is a touch control set for phones and tablets. If either stickman falls into a hazard or off the level, the attempt ends and you respawn at the start of that section.

The rope is the whole game. When one player jumps, the rope pulls the other forward; when one player stops, the rope goes slack. Levels use this in three ways: gaps that are too wide for one jump, ledges that only appear when both players pull the rope tight, and hazards that punish whoever runs ahead. The reliable technique is to move in short, matched bursts and to keep an eye on the rope line rather than on your own character.

What makes a run work

Coordination beats speed. Two players who jump on the same beat clear sections that two fast players fail repeatedly, because a rope that is pulled at the wrong moment throws the other character into the drop that was just avoided. The double jump is not a movement upgrade; treat it as a rescue move, saved for the moment the rope has already dragged you into the air.

Who it is for

Play it with someone sitting next to you, on one keyboard or one tablet, when you want a short co-op challenge rather than a competition. Rounds are quick, the levels are short, and failing is cheap — which makes it a good pick for younger players and for two people taking turns between longer games.

How to get a high score

  1. Agree on the direction before you jump — the rope turns two small jumps into one long fall.
  2. Double jump is the recovery move. Use it as soon as the rope pulls you off the platform.
  3. One player anchors while the other swings; pulling in opposite directions only stretches the rope.
  4. Watch the rope line, not your own stickman. It shows where the other player is about to go.

Questions

Can two people play on one keyboard?

Yes. Player 1 uses WASD and Player 2 uses the arrow keys, so both play on the same keyboard and the same screen.

Does it work on a phone or tablet?

Yes. The game ships with touch controls, so two players can share one screen and take a side each.

What happens when we fall?

You respawn and try that section again. Nothing is lost except the seconds it takes to climb back.

Is there a single-player mode?

The rope only makes sense with two characters, so play it with a friend. One player controls both stickmen only if you swap hands, which is not recommended.
